#30DayBlogChallenge - Day 14 - 3 Healthy Habits

Day 14: 3 Healthy Habits
For more info on this 30 Day Blog Challenge, click here!

I haven't lead the most healthy existence in the past year or so, but I have been changing my ways, of late! After a trip to my doctor, for an annual physical, I was charged with the task of losing 10-12 pounds (as a short term goal)! So I have not taken my assignment lightly, though I have backslid a little, and started a few healthy habits:

  1. Exercise 3-4 days per week, including 20+ minutes of cardio and 30+ minutes of weight training
  2. Eat meals with, at least, 70% fruits or veggies and drink plenty of water!
  3. Eat foods with low or no, added sugars and reduce starches (potatoes, bread, etc)
Like I said, it's a journey, and my goal is to make these healthy habits, part of a healthy lifestyle change! What kind of healthy habits do you have?

WILLIE STYLEZ RECIPES => Stove-Top Chicken Casserole

    STOVE-TOP CHICKEN CASSEROLE
    1 stick butter
8-10 chicken breast fillets (boneless and skinless)
    10 slices Swiss cheese
1 lg. box chicken flavor Stove Top (12 oz.)
1 can cream of chicken1 can cream of mushroom
    1. Melt stick of butter in 13 x 9 inch glass pan.
    2. Arrange chicken fillets in bottom of pan.
    3. Lay Swiss cheese slices on top of chicken.
    4. Prepare Stove Top according to directions on box.
    5. Spread Stove Top on top of cheese.
    6. Mix together cans of soup and spread on top of Stove Top.

Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes, covered with foil. Uncover and bake additional 15 minutes. Let set for 5 minutes before serving.

    What Does Stylez Think?

    Changes Made:

Sprayed 13 x 9 inch glass pan with cooking spray INSTEAD OF butter (hopefully that makes this meal "healthier")
No Swiss Cheese (this time) since I have so many self-proclaimed "non-cheese eaters" (even though they eat enough pizza in a month to fill a room! LOL!)
Used 4 Large, Frozen chicken breasts from a bag of breasts I bought at Costco!
Served with Cut Green Beans and/or Jellied Cranberry Sauce

Although it has a longer prep-time than most "quick" recipes, this dish was very easy to make! And after seeing almost all of it devoured by my family, it is quite evident that it was GOOD! I found it to be delicious, not sure if the cheese would have really ENHANCED the meal or not. But even my wife, who HATES Stove-Top Stuffing, said the dish wasn't hindered by that "ingredient"! All in all, it was a great meal, well executed and went quite well with a BUSY day!

That is what Stylez Thinks! What do you think? Try it and comment!
